Hi, I'm Colton — a Michigan-based photographer with a wide-angle eye and a cinematographer's instinct for landscape.
I wasn't the kid everyone expected to end up behind a camera. In high school I was the athlete — all game days and practice schedules. But somewhere in an art class, something clicked that had nothing to do with sports. After graduation, I picked up a camera and never really put it down. That instinct followed me into film school, where I learned to see the world in frame, movement, and light.
Now I split my focus between two things I love: the raw scale of nature and the built lines of a city. I've chased wide-open light in Glacier, Yellowstone, and the Tetons, and found it again in the stark stillness of Joshua Tree. Across the ocean, I've pointed my lens at the green hills of Ireland and the architecture of London — proof that a good frame is a good frame, whether it's a mountain range or a city block.
My style comes straight from film: wide, deliberate, cinematic. I want every shot to feel like a single frame pulled from a bigger story — because it is one.
